My room is on the third floor of the low-rise dormitory, it also has a foyer. I live on it. This basically means I live 4 stories up. Right outside my window is a roof ledge. Today, as I walked up my stairs to take a nap, I see someone standing outside of my bedroom window! It’s my neighbor! It was all very Buffy the Vampire Slayer (circa 1991).

Last night they didn’t stop partying till 2:30AM! Their roommate moved out, and that very day, they turned his room (adjacent to mine) in to a beer pong/Xbox 360 playground. My bed is parallel to the window. My head is level with the roof out there. Once I fell asleep watching this awesome documentary, We Are Wizards, and I woke up to hear a *tap* *tap* near my head. It was one of my neighbors trying to say ‘Hi’. Creepy.

When I chose this place to set up shop, it was because I love to wake up with the sun on me, not because I like to hear the sounds of vomit leaving someone’s mouth 4 feet from my head.

Just seeing that guy out my window, really crossed the line for me.
I grabbed my things and went on the couch. I started to fall asleep during ‘Let the Right One In’, and said, “Fuck it”, pushed some noise canceling headphones in my ear and went to sleep on my bed. It wasn’t easy. I literally believe my neighbors point their speakers out their window.

I’m afraid one of them will pry open my window and steal my things.
I <3 my computers. My dad bought me this one, and my brother bought me my PC right before he left for Afghanistan. If I lost any of them, I’d cry till no end. If someone stole my DVDs or my TV, I’d break down. I had to eat meat out of a can for WEEKS so I could afford to buy that shit when I first started college.

Oh today was sunny. I went to my first class and spent an hour trying to rip a piece of fabric in a straight line. It was horrible. Slightly unbecoming of a human being. I left early to sit under a tree on a picnic bench, it was lovely. Until I kept feeling wet stuff fall on me. It could have been rain, as this place is in a valley and there could be no clouds in the sky but rain will still fall (it’s actually quite beautiful- it glistens), but then I noticed there were birds in the branches…. yup. I didn’t get pooped on. I checked. Thoroughly.

But this reminds me, I have to wash my hair. Just in case.
